The 13 communities in the Dongzhen residential area of Xinhua Road Subdistrict have long experienced problems such as large trees disturbing residents, disorderly trees, and long-term unpruned trees. In August 2023, in conjunction with the "Micro Project Micro Governance" plan of Xinhua Road Subdistrict, the Dongzhen Residential Committee, together with community resident volunteers, began to promote the "Green Branches Return to Roots" action, and jointly purchased a branch shredder with the property management company to shred and compost the pruned branches on site, saving the cost of branch removal and transportation while turning waste into treasure.

In the future, the Dongzhen residential area will serve as a pilot in the community to continue to carry out on-site treatment of greening waste. It will also take this opportunity to practice and test the relevant experience and results produced in the Social Construction Center, and promote and apply them comprehensively in the community.
