Using the framework of “bring your own table” a co-working space of 300sqm have been realized in Xinhua CDC, with about 20 working stations including fixed working table and movable seats. The people participating organize themselves in weekly meeting to decide space organization, functions improvement, and the integration of co-working activities with the other citizens groups active in Xinhua CDC.

The model of bring-your-own-table (BYOD) allowed a quick and effective regeneration of the space. The spontaneous participation and independent actions of the workers showed us that in addition to the physical attributes of the shared office space, a venue that encourages sharing and learning together is slowly being created.
